I have bet on millions of hands of 21. I started working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have enjoyed online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still spent an abundance of funds at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the house.

I still enjoy the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get loaded with this tactic or beat the casino, nonetheless you will experience an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a game of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!

I play basic strategy chemin de fer. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the wager back down to the original sum.

I am very strict and never back out. It gets very thrilling on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had great streaks a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the MGM a number of years back with $750 after 30 minutes using this tactic! And a few months ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!

You have to understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be surprised at the streaks you witness wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.

Bet 5 dollar
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the initial $5 wager

Bet 5 dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of $10

Bet 10 dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the initial $10 wager

Wager $10
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total wager of $20

Wager 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet

Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar

Wager $40
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the first $40 wager

Wager $40
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total bet of $80

Wager eighty dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the first $80 bet

Bet eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160

Bet $160
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 1 hundred and 60 dollar bet

If you departed at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!

It's iffy to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can't deviate and lower your wager or the end result won't be the same.
